- If you paid with a RedCard, you can add an extra 30 days to the return window, making it 120 days in total.
- Target owned brands or registry items can be returned within a year.
Returns at a Target Store:
- Bring the item and the return barcode (from your packing slip, order details page, or receipt) to Guest Service at a Target store.
- Team members at the store can also look up receipts using your original payment method.
Returns by Mail:
- You’ll receive free shipping for every return at Target.
- View your order details to print a prepaid return mailing label.
- You can keep track of the return’s status on the order details page.
- You will receive an email notification when Target receives your return, letting you know when to expect your refund.

Target’s Return Policy Details:
- Most unopened items sold by Target in new condition and returned within 90 days are eligible for a refund or exchange.
- The return window for items purchased on Target.com starts once the order has been invoiced, which happens when any part of the order is shipped, delivered by a Shipt shopper, or made ready for pick up.
- Some items may have a modified return policy, which will be noted on the receipt, packing slip, Target policy board (refund exceptions), Target.com, or in the item description.
- Items that are opened, damaged, or do not have a receipt may be denied a refund or exchange.
Target Plus™ Partner’s Return Policy:
- Most unopened items sold by a Target Plus Partner in new condition and returned within 90 days are eligible for a refund.
- The return window for items purchased on Target.com from Target Plus Partners also begins after the order has been invoiced.
- All items sold by Partners must be returned to Target, either in-store or by mail.
- Some items sold by a Target Plus Partner may have a modified return policy, which will be indicated on Target.com.
- Items that are opened or damaged may be denied a refund.
- In-store returns without an eligible receipt will be denied.
- Some items, such as electronics, may have a shorter return window, so it’s essential to check the individual item description for specific return policy information.
